About Kettlebell workshops

Kettlebells are hard!! Therefore we are running a workshop first so you can have an understanding of the exercises that we will be doing in our classes. We want you to get the most out of your classes so there will be less teaching and more hardstyle training! All four exercises are the basic movements, and as everyone knows you need to know the basics before you can learn the more complex exercises – you can’t walk before you can crawl, just like you can’t snatch before you can swing. What we will teach you is how to train safely and effectively so we can build a solid base for your strength and conditioning.

Swing – looks simple enough but there is more to a swing than meets the eye. We will teach four essential steps before you will learn how to swing a Kettlebell. These four steps will teach you about posture, mobility and how to swing a bell correctly so you will not get lower back pain or worse injure yourself.

Turkish Get up – one of the most wonderful exercises around! This exercise will teach you movement and will work your “core” like no other. If you have any imbalances between your right & left side you will soon discover them however, the TGU will work both sides of your body equally and you will become more symmetrical.

Goblet Squats – squatting is the most natural movements for us, we taught ourselves how to squat when we were only babies so we could learn how to walk. If you have lost the ability to squat we will teach you how to regain it back. The goblet squat is one of the best squats you will ever have to do. We will teach you how to stretch to open up your hips so that you can sink down into the bottom position of the squat with ease.
